The doll approach is an innovative therapy that offers a better quality of life for children. The reborn doll brings joy and comfort to toddlers.
Hi Louise! I wanted to talk to you about how grateful I am to have found the Isabelle therapy doll with beating heart at the doll show! My daughter has had it for a few months now and loves it! She takes it everywhere...the little beating heart inside the doll is a big plus! It soothes her at bedtime! Thank you so much!

Thanks to L'approche par la poupée by Louise Vendette the little one happy at bedtime with her darling doll! Raphny Raphaël. June 2024.

The Reborn doll approach to children in general is a gentle, calm activity. It's great for play and care activities. It can also be used for guidance.
The Reborn doll used by nursing staff such as :
- A working tool
- A helping hand for example: anxiety attacks
- For a relaxing individual activity, e.g. rocking the doll in a rocking chair, giving the magic bottle.
- For a group activity, e.g. a change of clothes such as pyjamas
- For clinical situations in hospital, e.g. dressing changes, treatments such as blood sampling or intravenous administration.
- To accompany a hospitalized child.
- Caring for a child at the end of life.
The Reborn doll is a great comfort for sick children who are sometimes alone. This gentle, calm approach helps reduce stress, anxiety and fear. It prevents isolation and provides security.
Reborn doll therapy improves mood, alleviating behavioral symptoms such as anger, irritability, maliciousness and restlessness. Activities with a realistic Reborn doll develop fine motor skills by manipulating clothing, such as putting on the doll's bonnet, putting on her stockings and fastening buttons.
Doll therapy with children helps to develop deep feelings such as sympathy, compassion, empathy and resilience. It also offers many other benefits.
Baby dolls can be used with children with autism spectrum disorder, Asperger's syndrome, attention deficit disorder with or without hyperactivity, psychological disorders, childhood depression, anxiety, multiple disabilities and other health problems.
The dolls and their activities are generally very popular with both boys and girls. We can use disinfectant wipes to clean the dolls.
Since 2020, My concept of Doll therapy with Reborn dolls and different dolls and my book user's manual are currently in use with success at Sainte-Justine Hospital in Montreal, in elementary schools and on adapted transport for special classes.
